King Island Surf Safaris was created by two blokes, one who could surf but can't fly, the other who could fly but can't surf - very well. 

With the help of King Island locals, we offer discreet self-guided surf tours from the coastal Victorian town of Barwon Heads to King Island, Tasmania.

Our trips are "self-guided" - meaning we drop you off at the airport and return to pick you up. Oh yeah... as well as travelling in your own privately chartered plane we'll help you out a little by including accommodation on the island, a 4WD, surf / travel map and advice to access all those crazy good waves. The trips operate on demand through bookings via our website, taking small groups of up to 7 people at a time enjoying the largely unsurfed waves every year. 

King Island Surf Safaris also offers local King Islanders the opportunity to enjoy the world renown point breaks of the Surf Coast, with flights direct to Barwon Heads Airport (15 minutes from Bells Beach).

King Island has long been known to surfers all over to have great waves, off shore winds (it's an island!), friendly locals and an incredible landscape. Situated in the middle of Bass Strait, King Island is at the receiving end of swells created deep in the Southern Ocean. It has numerous surf breaks to choose from all around the island, as well as the famous waves Martha Lavinia beach.
